Biography
- Born in Porto Alegre – RS – South of Brazil, Prof. Corleta has been competing and teaching for the last 30 years. He has been training since 1993 (since he was 17 years old), competing, and also teaching in his academy, since 1997. In 2018, he took a big step in his career when he moved with his family to San Diego – CA, with the main idea of bringing his huge experience and techniques to the US. Here he started an exciting and challenging journey. He has been running and leading as head coach of his gym in Vista CA.
- Jiu-Jitsu 5th degree Black Belt, 3X IBJJF World Champion (2001-2013-2016), IBJJF Panamerican Champion (2009), among other titles, started in Jiu-Jitsu in 1993 with Professor Ricardo Murgel.
- In 1994, he won his first national title as Blue Belt. This year also encouraged by his teacher set up his first academy, dedicating his life from that moment entirely to Jiu-Jitsu.
- In 1997, he joined Behring Jiu-Jitsu, the Traditional Family of Jiu-Jitsu with a tradition of more than 70 years and the concern to teach the fundamentals of Jiu-Jitsu in a complete way (Self Defense – Jiu-Jitsu – No GI).
- With the support of his team, master Flávio Behring, and professors Sylvio and Maurição, he achieved important titles, such as Brazilian nationals in 97 and 99. In October 1999 he was graduated as a black belt by Professors Sylvio Behring and Maurição and became part of a restricted elite, which has the privilege of teaching Jiu-Jitsu.
